Stavros Damos: Portraits with Geometric Shading

Stavros Damos creates really interesting portraits in which he does different directions of shading in geometric shapes on his subjects' faces. With different portions of the face shaded in multi-directions, it reminds me of like "the grain of the wood" or the strains of muscle perhaps underneath one's skin. (That might sound a little grotesque, but I mean it just anatomically.) It's really interesting though and it certainly gives a different twist on the common portrait illustration.

There are many famous portrait artists in the world. Each of them are famous for the unique technique that they use to create amazing portraits of people. They usually do not share their technique with others. But the works of Stavros Damos are that of the modern world. It has the elements of the contemporary world. We get refreshing feeling while observing his portraits. I really loved them all. I hope this post has given an opportunity for the readers to know about the portraits of the Stavros Damos.
