My Little Bio

My Photography:
I have had a life long interest in art and photography. It started at the age of 8 when I received my first camera. As an undergraduate at the University of Michigan, I studied art history and aesthetic theory. During the past 15 years I have honed my photographic skills as a commercial photographer. I began my fine art photography about 6 years ago by entering competitions:

2015: Marin Photographer of the Year – Marin County Fair
2nd Place – Marin County Fair
Finalist – Marin Magazine Cover Competition
2014: Finalist – Triton Museum Salon Exhibition
2013: 1st Place – Napa County Fair
Finalist – Triton Museum Photography Competition
2012: Best of Show – Marin County Fair
2011: 2nd Place – Napa County Fair
Finalist – Triton Museum Photography Competition
2010: Best of Show – Marin County Fair
2nd Place – Marin County Fair
Finalist – Pacific Art League Art Competition

My Art:
Witnessing nature relieves the anxieties of urban existence. Nature places us in a higher state of awareness that enriches the soul by captivating the eye. It is an experience that words cannot adequately express. I use a camera to capture the beauty, serenity, magic and exhilaration that I find. My computer is an extension of my camera that allows me to adjust my images by combining the real and ideal in the spirit of the image so they uniquely express my vision. Hopefully, my images will speak to you as they have spoken to me.

My Fine Art Prints:
I personally print all of my photographs. I use a high tech color printer with nine Ultrachrome inks printing on archival, 100% cotton paper. This combination of craftsman printing, paper and ink ensures the print is as I intended and is the highest archival quality available.
Limited Editions: I offer my larger prints exclusively as numbered and hand signed Limited Editions of 50 or 100. Depending on size these prints are priced between $150 to $400. When an edition reaches its limit, all sales are discontinued for that print.
Open Edition Prints: These images are printed on 8 1/2” x 11” paper leaving at least a 1/4” margin. The prints are hand-signed, but not numbered and made using the same archival materials as my Limited Edition prints.
Matting & Framing: All of my prints are available loose so that you can coordinate your own matting and framing. Framing and/or matting is available at an additional charge.
